Every one of us can make a difference by voicing our concerns, signing petitions and supporting non-profit organizations that stand for the survival of the wolf. Some non-profit groups buy land for wild animals to roam, while other non-profit groups challenge the Federal and State governments in court to protect wolves and other species. These actions can be expensive, timely and not always easy because they are up against ample resistance.
With 1/4 of the mammal species endangered on the planet, we need everyone to stand up for what they believe in and make their voices heard. Whether you're 6 years old or 100 years old, together, we can save endangered species, change the world and protect our beautiful planet.
Here's 4 non-profit organization I believe make a difference. There are so many good ones to choose from, and it was hard to list only 4.

At the Center for Biological Diversity, they believe that the welfare of human beings is deeply linked to nature — to the existence in our world of a vast diversity of wild animals and plants. Because diversity has intrinsic value, and because its loss impoverishes society, they work to secure a future for all species, great and small, hovering on the brink of extinction. We do so through science, law and creative media, with a focus on protecting the lands, waters and climate that species need to survive.
Center for Biological Diversity want those who come after us to inherit a world where the wild is still alive.
Founded in 1947, Defenders of Wildlife is the premier U.S.-based national conservation organization dedicated to the protection and restoration of imperiled species and their habitats in North America.
Defenders’ approach is direct and straightforward – We protect and restore imperiled species throughout North America by transforming policies and institutions and by promoting innovative solutions. We speak with one voice informed by scientific, legal and policy expertise, hands-on wildlife management experience and effective advocacy.
The Vital Ground Foundation is a charitable 501(c)3 organization and an accredited land trust.
Our mission is to protect and restore North America’s grizzly bear populations for future generations by conserving wildlife habitat and by supporting programs that reduce conflicts between bears and humans.
Based in Missoula, Montana, and working throughout the northern Rocky Mountains and Inland Northwest, we envision a permanently connected landscape that ensures the long-term survival of grizzlies and the many native species that share their range. By connecting public land strongholds with protected private lands, Vital Ground is the only land trust dedicated to large-landscape conservation for the benefit of grizzly bears, other wildlife and people.
NRDC works to safeguard the earth—its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends. We combine the power of more than three million members and online activists with the expertise of some 700 scientists, lawyers, and policy advocates across the globe to ensure the rights of all people to the air, the water, and the wild.
